Greetings to you in the Name of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
We pray and hope that the Lord has been keeping you well.
March and April have been extremely busy with a lot that the Lord has been doing; we are in awe of all that He is doing.
We now reach about 350 children on both our Saturday and Sunday Good News Clubs.
We are looking at opening a third location for the Good News Club and are trusting the Lord to show us where that place will be. Keep this in prayers.
Our co-workers Henriata, Emma, Resty, Tina, Bruce, and all the young disciples have been helping tremendously.
Our discipleship classes have been going well, uninterrupted alongside the guitar classes, which have been made possible by having the learning center to hold them.
In the past months, we have been getting our learning center equipped with most of the necessary supplies and setting up the whole place. Pastor Drew has been helping while in Uganda on teaching our young men different life skills, like using different tools, the correct way of doing things, as well as disciplining them along the way.
As this is going on, we have been able to hold our learning to read classes in the evenings 4 days every week, which required a lot of patience at the beginning, but Praise God for the improvements.
On 2nd April, we had a team of medical doctors that did a one-day medical clinic for both our children and parents at our learning center, where free medicine and treatment were given.
The day after, we packed the gift packs that had a pair of shoes/crocs, clothes, and treats for our children for the Easter special program.
This was on 4th April, which hosted 500 plus children. We fed them a good meal, a drink, gave them an Easter special gift, and shared with them the most wonderful gift of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Phil Lai and his wife Allison were a great help during this time. Pastor Phil shared the Easter story with the children.
The day started with rain, but later the sun came out, and the day was filled with love, laughter, joy, praises to the Lord, the Word, and all the glory is to the Lord.
I have attached a short video clip of all these activities.
On Easter, we had lunch with the helpers and our visitors, Pastor Phil and his wife. It was a very blessed time.
Our children just did the end-of-term exams. We hope that their performance has improved, and we will keep you updated on their performance when their report/results are back.
We intend to tutor them when school is on break.
We are blessed to have Pastor Drew teach at all our Good News Clubs this end of April, plus do a joint class for our young disciples.
This is also in preparation for the holiday training that we are about to have. This training is intended to teach children to reach out to their peers with the Gospel. We do these trainings two times a year for a week when school is on break. We are having Miss Gail Beagin from the USA once again, and this is great as she has been such a blessing in this ministry from the start. Please keep her in prayers, and the entire training is happening from 11th to 16th May.
Our ministry website ukwelichildrenbibleclubs.org is now up and running. Please check out our details or share it with anyone who would like to know more about us.
Please remember us in your prayers as we have a great need for a consistent Learning to read/English teacher among other laborers.
As you pray for all of our children, please keep one of our children (name not disclosed) in mind and heart, as she has gone through some terrible things over the past year.
The Lord bless you exceedingly for loving us and choosing to serve these precious children with us.
Note: More photos and videos are on our website if you would like to view them.
Yours in the Lord,
Gloria Agasha
