Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The month of October was very blessed as we had Pastor Drew and Pastor Bill from the USA teach at both our Saturday and Sunday Good News Clubs. They taught about the life of Joseph and of Peter following Jesus.

UPDATE ON THE UKWELI CHILDREN’S LEARNING CENTER.

We were unable to move into the facility as we had hoped to on October 1st. The Landlord failed to complete the work as agreed upon.
For this and other reasons, we saw that she was not the person we would like to deal with and decided to terminate the tenancy agreement.
Our lawyer is working with the court to compel her to repay the money she received. Keep this in your prayers so that it will be resolved soon.
We are currently in the process of looking for another place.

UPDATE ON THE GOOD NEWS CLUBS

Our two Good News Clubs, one in Lusa on Saturday and another in the village here called Colombia on Sunday, have been doing great as the Lord is adding new children every week.
For both clubs, we are going to be explaining the lineage of Jesus in preparation for the Christmas lesson.
It’s a blessing to have a young lady named Tina who has joined us, assisting in praise and worship, playing the guitar.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Our 45 children who are currently being helped to attend school are doing well. We hope and pray they will continue to improve during this last term of the school year.
This is a promotional term where they do exams to determine whether they will go up to the next level of class.

DISCIPLESHIP

We have selected a new group of children to begin the discipleship program.
We will have our first meeting in November, weather permitting.
Our original 8 children who started the discipleship group a year ago will continue having their own meetings.

OTHERS

• We are having our Christmas party on 7th December on Sunday afternoon. We are bringing the two clubs together, and the expected number of children to attend is between 300 to 400. We will be feeding them, giving gifts like backpacks, clothes, treats, or anything else we have to give them. This will be a very big blessing.
• We have also started working on a website for the ministry that will be available soon. This will enable you to check out the different things anytime that cannot all be covered in a brief monthly update letter. We will notify you when this is ready.
• The pen pal program is still going well. It was a great joy receiving our letters from the children in Mexico in October. If you would like your child, Sunday school children to be a part of this, kindly contact us.
• We also visited two of our children, Shirat and Devine, at school as they are preparing to take the national exam that helps with graduating to high school.
• Our young disciples have been helping in clubs, and some have been teaching the lessons once in a while. It’s a joy seeing this.

CHILD OF THE MONTH

As we mentioned in our update last month, we will be introducing a child each month.
This month, we would like you to meet the 14-year-old boy named Lambert. Through your generous giving, he has been one of our sponsored students for almost a year.
I have included his story in detail in the gallery.

Others

• We are planning and preparing for our Christmas program at our various Good News Club sites for a date to be confirmed, in the second week of December.

• As pastor Drews’ assistant, I will be traveling with him and Pastor Bill on October 5th to 10th October to record the teachings on apologetics and pastoral epistles at the pastoral training center here.

• The pen pal program is going well, we currently have two schools participating, one in Guatemala, and the other from Mexico. If you would like your child, Sunday school children to be a part of this kindly contact us.

• Feel free to send this newsletter unto anyone that will be willing to pray for this ministry.

Prayer Requests

• Pray that the court issue with the old landlord will be quick and that she will refund our money soon.

• That God will allocate a new place for our learning center/facility and provide everything needed for that.

• Provision and success of our Christmas party.

• Pray that the Lord will show us the new place for the 3rd Good News Club we hope to open next year.

• The Lord to bring missionaries and volunteers to be part of this, as we hope to have many discipleship groups

• For the young disciples, that they will grow in grace in knowledge, and that more children will be discipled.

• That the children we help to go to school will do better and be promoted to the next class

• Attentiveness of the children during the Good News Clubs.

• For God’s protection over our children, protection even in their homes.
